People at the window

This post is about window and people at the window I saw everywhere in Nepal :)
The traditional houses (I am not sure whether those houses only belong to Newari or people from other ethnic groups as well) there always have beautiful carved windows like this:


Beautiful, isn't it? That building in the picture happened to be our lodge in Patan, Kathmandu, one of my favorite places in Nepal. The owner is a native Newar who is inspired to help preserving Newari house and would love to let tourists like us enjoy a bit of experience living in a Newari house. A clever strategy I'd say ;p Going back to the topic, if you are in Kathmandu you will find these kind of view so common: 










Seems like people there looove to be at the window! Well, you would agree that being at the window is indeed nice. Just take a look at these pictures:





These are the windows from inside the house!! Don't you want to sit there and spend the whole day reading or looking down to the hustle below? Me wants!! :)

    gak pernah kepikir gua untuk hunting foto model gitu. hehe

    btw gua juga selalu pengen lho punya bench dan ada kasurnya gitu di pinggir jendela, trus bisa baca buku disitu... :)
