As I wrote before, Bangladesh is now one the leading garment industry in the world, and that most of the workers are women. On that previous post I mentioned that garment industry has given Bangladeshi women the opportunity to participate in the workforce and earn on their own, thus benefit them and help to narrow the gender gap in Bangladesh. However, there are so many social issues left entangled. This video made by Amy Helene Johansson tried to capture and present us with some of those ugly facts surrounding Bangladeshi garment industry. May this open our eyes!
